Crabowitz Re-scheduled – July 18th
July 18th should be on your calendars for the 5th annual “Crabowitz” 5K fun run and crabs, pizza, beer, etc.!
Host Szymanski will be supplying crabs and pizza and Brewmaster Tony BBQ will be providing the “Rebel Electrolyte Ale”! Additional wine and beer will be provided.
Anytime after 6:00 is good, the 5K run starts around 6:15/6:30 so if you want to run 3.1 hilly miles first, be sure and arrive in time for the start. Running is not required, but cheering is!!!
Bring your drink of choice if you do not want Yuengling or Tony’s Electrolyte Ale. This is a family and dogs-friendly event, so bring everyone.
This event is once again collecting money for The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. We hope to surpass last year’s VERY generous donations of over $2,000!

Wed Aug 14: Almost Fab (Beatles tribute)
We will go for a short run in the park before each concert, more details to follow. For more information on the series please see http://destateparks.com/SummerConcerts/white-clay.asp
Race Results, Reviews and accomplishments:
USATF – Off-road Series – Double Trouble 7/7
The club competed in the Wissahickon 10k trail classic on Saturday, June 8th. The club fielded the minimum number of five required runners and thankfully all five survived the rugged hills and rocky trails on Forbidden Drive. Thanks to Ray Christensen, Bob Klesics, Dave Wichecki, Lorri Fencer and Meggan Hain for keeping the club in our 3rd place position in the trial series. Notable accomplishments – Dave Wiechecki, 3rd place in the very competitive Grand Masters division.
The next trail race is the Double Trouble 15k on Sunday July 7 at French Creek State Park. Please contact Tom Steenkamer if you are available to participate. Post-race hydration to occur with our friends from the Pineland Striders at a local brewery. (Victory Brewing in Downingtown or Sly Fox in Pottstown are the options, TBD after the race.)
Please update your calendars with the new date for the Radnor 5k Steeplechase. The new date is Sunday August 18th, 9AM.
The Mid-Atlantic Quarterly newsletter is out. PCVRC is referenced numerous times in this edition. More importantly our own humble Hugh Campbell received some well-deserved recognition for his record setting accomplishments this spring.
