An abbreviated Bulletin for a week with July 4 in the middle. Happy Holidays!
From Tom Steemkamer():
The USATF off – road series continues on Sunday, July 8th at 9AM with the Double Trouble 15k. Held at French Creek State Park in Pennsylvania the Double Trouble provides a scenic, shaded course over moderate (depends on your perspective) terrain. The start/finish area is adjacent to Hopewell Lake and the park’s swimming pool.
We are currently planning a post-race picnic for the team. Please contact me if you are interested in participating or contributing to the pot-luck picnic.
Annual Pike Creek Summer BBQ
2012-07-21 Saturday, July 21 3pm
Location: White Clay Creek Park – Carpenter Pavilion
It’s that time of year again for summer fun and the annual pcvrc summer picnic. As always the club will provide the beer, hotdogs and hamburgers. All we ask of you is to bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share.
With the different location and larger space the club would like to invite you to bring your softball gloves, frisbees or kickball to participate in some friendly club competition.
We hope to see new members. Bring the family!

Policy on printing race results:
Mainly for newer members, I occasionally reiterate my policy for printing race results. Because there are so many short races these days, it would be quite a task to pick out all club runners and post their results. For local shorter events, I generally post the results of club members who finish near the top, but not of other members unless requested. In general, I try to post all club members results who run in USATF events and results of longer events (more than 10K). However, if you wish to have a result posted, please send me an e-mail with your results. A first race, a personal best, a new distance, the maintaining of a streak at a particular event – these are all important to you. So let us know. It goes without saying that you need to let me know about out of town events (other than fairly local ones).
