North Central Trail Marathon, Sparks, MD, 11/27
4:19:03 Dave McCorquodale. 2nd 65-69
For those not familiar with the North Central Trail, it’s a former railroad bed. The surface is mostly crushed gravel and dirt, so it feels like a road. There are no obstacles, like roots and rocks, but there is nice scenery if one is inclined to look. Mark Lozier made the trek and drove, but he had to pull the plug on his run about 4 and 1/2 miles into it when his left calf cramped up, apparently due to too much yard work in the preceding week.
