Fundraising Wine Dinner at Caffe Gelato
Last minute alert: On Thursday, October 21 the club is holding a wine dinner at Caffe Gelato, 90 E. Main St., Newark. $22 of each persons costs will be directly to the club. In addition, for each person who signs up for the Waffle Cone 10 Miler, which will be on Sunday, October 24, at the dinner, the club will receive an additional $5.00. DDC 15K Additional Notes
Catching up on things not mentioned in the write-up for the Delaware Distance Classic 15K: The club wishes to thank club treasurer Joel Schiller and the Buckley Striders who manned the water stops. John Schultz was another MA-USATF participant for the club, but because the clock was taken down before he finished, the USATF representative did not get his time and his score has still not been posted on the MA-USATF website. The organizer of the series has been contacted about the discrepancy.
Kelly wins Green Mountain Marathon
Super congratulations to Kelly Horowitz, who was the female winner of the Green Mountain Marathon in South Hero, Vermont with a time of 3:10:11! Jack Horowitz ran 3:50:13.
Tony & Barbara run KC Marathon
Participating in the Kansas City Marathon were Tony Chelpaty, 4:20:56 and Barbara Herko, 4:41:05.
