Award winners, Banquet information
2/28 banquet information and form are posted here. Please submit the form as soon as you can.
The Awards Banquet and Election of Officers will be held at the DuPont Country Club on February 28.
The board raised the price for members to $30, which is still a bargain, considering the venue. Non-members may attend for a price of $40.
The guest speaker will be Val Whiting, former professional basketball player and a trainer who operates GAMESHAPE, a personal training service as well as Delaware Boot Camp, described as a complete fitness program. She nows contributes articles to the News-Journal and recently wrote about how training to run a marathon changed her outlook on athletes.
The following club members will be receiving awards: Rachel Bleacher, Dean Coffin, Austin Gee, Gerald Herman, Scott Hodukavich, Theresa Kauffman, David James, and Rich Szymanski
Send your results
Just a reminder that it is not uncommon that I miss results that the club might want t know about. While the days are past when the club posts the result of every club member in every 5K, I am glad to post any outstanding achievement you think is important, such as a personal best, a long streak, or any half-marathon or beyond result. Simply email mccorq@comcast.net with your information.
