Disney Marathon & Icicle Run results
Walt Disney World Half, Full & Goofy Challenge
2 PCVRC members ran the half, another ran the full marathon and five others comepleted both for the Goofy Race and a Half challenge. Most of the participants were more focused on having a good time and taking lots of pictures with the Disney characters, than racing, hence some slow times by racing standards. Hey guys! why didn't you bring some of that 70+ degree weather back with you?

Icicle Run 10 Miler - Wilmington
Back in considerably cooler conditions in Delaware a number of club members participated in the Icicle Run 10 Miler. The weather really was prety good was this race, which sometimes presents icy, slushy conditions. The following club members place in their age-groups:

Dan Simmons 2nd 60-64 1:14:35
Mary Holliday 2nd 50-54 1:19:54
Jerry Herman 2nd 65-69 1:35:31
Bob Wortz 2nd 70+ 1:36:52
John Schultz 5th 70+ 1:50:47
John, 76, was the oldest competitor and would have been first in a 75-79 age-group. Everyone else except John was competing in five year age groups. If I'm lucky enough to be running a 76, I'd know that I'd like to have the same chance to compete for an award as every other competitor.
