Triple Crown 10K results, USATF team update
Triple Crown 10K results (April 24)
We have the results from the Triple Crown 10K, run on April 24 at Carpenter St. Park. This was the third in the Off-Road Series of the MA-USATF races. Only three teams scored in this race and PCVRC is now in second place overall. However, each team get to drop one "bad" race from the final results. So the other three participating teams are still in the mix although their margin for error is now gone.
Note that PCVRC had four finishers among the top 15 in the race, including Josh Loren who finished second. Thanks to Mark Deshon who signed up for USATF at the race and to former Pike Creeker Paul Schweizer who both rejoined the club and singed up for USATF at the race.
John Schultz found a rolling 10K to be suitable training one week before running the New Jersey Marathon. Bruce Hubbard had already run the triple Crown Half-Marathon, enroute to completing all three races that morning.

Jess Manning gets big PR at New Jersey Marathon
Congratulations to club member Jess Manning of Dover, who also ran the New Jersey Marathon this past Sunday. Jess shattered his previous marathon best of 3:14 by running 3:03:25, easily under the Boston Marathon Men's Open Standard of 3:10. Jess showed remarkable consistency in his pace, running the second half 25 seconds faster than the first half.
